This is a wonderful and informative post! As a lover of Gothic literature and as someone trying to master the craft of writing Gothic fiction, this was not just helpful but also helped me understand which aspects of the Gothic attract me.

This video deserves so much more attention. It's amazing how much you've managed to put into it, including your approach to interpreting fiction, and yet at no point does it feel rushed or incomplete. The editing is also great and the narration is very pleasant to listen to. I remembered the stained-glass-scene very vividly as well but I hadn't gone further than just interpreting it as a symbol for inner turmoil.
